Lord Polonius: What do you read, my lord?
Hamlet: Words, words, words– Hamlet, Act II, Scene II
Welcome to The Bard’s Book Club Blog! We are four women journeying together into the depths of great literature as we attempt to read each of William Shakespeare’s plays! We have all taken a course or two in theater, most of us even took a Shakespeare course while studying in London, and a few of us have even acted in Midsummer on stage. We know a decent amount about the Bard of Avon and his works but intend to learn a lot more.
Shakespeare’s works can be difficult to parse through (in most cases, very difficult), but we have learned through our experience that his words thrillingly explore truths about of human nature.
In this blog we will document our journey through his works and invite you to comment, add your own insights, and join the conversation if you find this interesting.
